Organ, NM Dumpster Rental
Organ is the smallest community on our list and the highest. It sits on US-70 below San Augustin Pass, roughly fifteen miles east northeast of Las Cruces, where the highway climbs out of the Mesilla Valley and over the Organ Mountains toward White Sands Missile Range. Almost everyone here either works at the range, worked at it, or wanted the mountain lot.

Weight matters more than volume on the pass
An empty container going up US-70 is straightforward. A container loaded with rock, concrete or soil coming back down a sustained grade needs to be within weight, not near it. We will steer you toward a smaller container properly full rather than a larger one loaded to the rail.
Planning a Container in Organ
Tell us the debris type
Rock and stone changes the sizing before anything else does.
Send a photo of the drive
Short steep driveways rule out the larger containers on many lots.
We size for the return trip
Within weight, not near it, because of the grade.
Delivery around your date
WSMR moves run on orders. Give us the date and we build around it.
Grade, Not Distance, Is What Matters
Organ is not far in miles. It is a climb.
US-70 gains real elevation between Las Cruces and the pass, with San Augustin Spring on the east side sitting above five thousand six hundred feet. A truck carrying a loaded container behaves differently on a sustained grade than on flat valley road, and that affects pickup more than delivery. An empty container going up is straightforward. A container filled with rock, concrete or soil coming back down needs to be within weight, not near it.
Practical consequence: if your Organ project is heavy debris rather than bulky debris, we will steer you toward a smaller container that is properly full rather than a larger one loaded to the rail. That is not us upselling in reverse, it is the grade.
Rocky Ground and Mountain Lots
Organ lots are cut into the mountain foothills. Decomposed granite, rock outcrop, steep short driveways and turning space that runs out quickly.
Two things follow. First, the 15 yard container is the default here and often the only size we will attempt on a steeper property. Second, tell us about the driveway slope. A container needs reasonably level ground to sit safely once loaded, and a steep drive limits where we can set it.
Photograph the driveway
Slope and turning space decide the size here more than the project does. One photo and we can tell you what will set safely.
White Sands Missile Range Timelines
A good share of Organ residents commute over the pass to the range. That means moves on orders, fixed report dates and short notice.
If you have a date, give it to us with the booking and we will build delivery and pickup around it. We would rather hold a slot than have you chasing us the week you are supposed to be out.
What We Load in Organ
Home renovation on older mountain properties is the main one, and those loads run heavier than valley equivalents because of rock, stone and stucco.
Yard work is the second group. Clearing rock, removing old retaining structures, brush and mesquite clearing on a slope. All heavy relative to volume.
The Organ Mountains carry a long mining history and some properties still hold remnants of it. Old metal, timber and equipment load fine, but tell us if there is anything unusual in it before we haul.

What We Load Here Most
Dumpster Rental in Organ: Common Questions
Straight answers to what people ask before they book.
Can you deliver a dumpster up the pass to Organ?
Yes, we run US-70 regularly. The climb affects the return trip more than the delivery, which is why we are careful about weight on heavy loads rather than just volume.
Do you deliver to White Sands Missile Range housing?
We deliver to Organ and the surrounding area. Access to a controlled federal installation depends on that installation’s own procedure, so confirm base access requirements before booking and we will work with whatever they set.
What size dumpster fits a mountain lot in Organ?
The 15 yard in most cases. Short steep driveways and limited turning space rule out the larger containers on many Organ properties. Send a photo of the drive and we will tell you.
Is rock and stone debris a problem?
Not a problem, but it changes the sizing. Rock, stone, stucco and concrete are dense, so a smaller container properly loaded beats a larger one that exceeds weight. On a graded route we take that seriously.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Organ?
Not on your own property. Organ is unincorporated and Doña Ana County rules apply.
How much notice do you need for Organ?
A day is comfortable. Same-day is possible with an early call, though the pass run is scheduled into a route rather than squeezed in.
