What Is the Cutoff for Same Day Delivery?
Our cutoff is 2 PM. Orders placed by then can usually be delivered the same afternoon anywhere in the Las Cruces area. Orders after 2 PM are scheduled for next day delivery.
The cutoff exists because every drop has to fit on a truck route before the end of the day. A container that leaves the yard at 3 PM still has to be driven across town, placed carefully, and checked before the driver heads back. Calling earlier gives dispatch more room to fit you in, so if you know by 10 AM that you need a container, call at 10 AM.

Two charges can be added after pickup, and both are listed before you book:

Doing it yourself instead?
For comparison, hauling it yourself means paying the South Central Solid Waste Authority at the gate. Its rates, effective July 1, 2026, are $53.02 per ton at the Corralitos Regional Landfill and $68.05 per ton at the Amador Avenue and Chaparral transfer stations, with an $8.36 minimum per load and a $30.93 fee on untarped loads. Add your own truck, fuel, loading, and unloading for every trip.

What If You Miss the 2 PM Cutoff?
Call anyway. Orders after 2 PM are scheduled for next day delivery, and booking the evening before gives you the best chance at an early slot. If your crew starts at 7 AM, a container booked the night before can be waiting when they pull up.
If you only have a few bulky items, a full container may be more than you need. City of Las Cruces residents can use the city’s Grappler service for bulky waste on their scheduled route; check the Grappler schedule online or call city customer service at 575-541-2111. Small loads can also go straight to a South Central Solid Waste Authority transfer station at the gate rates listed above.
What Can Go in a Same Day Dumpster?
Most household, remodeling, and construction debris is fine: furniture, cabinets, drywall, flooring, wood, yard waste, shingles, and general cleanout junk. Hazardous and liquid waste is not.
Not allowed:
- Chemicals, solvents, pesticides, and pool chemicals
- Liquids, including wet paint, motor oil, fuel, and antifreeze
- Asbestos and materials that may contain it
- Batteries, propane tanks, and anything pressurized
- Tires and refrigerant appliances unless approved in advance
